OTTAWA COUNTY BUSINESS ADVISORY COUNCIL FORMED TO MEET GROWING NEEDS

The OCIC and the United Way in conjunction with Materion, First Energy and the Liberty Aviation Museum with support of Ottawa County Schools, North Point ESC, Cardinal Staffing, Commodore Perry Federal Credit Union, USG, Catawba Island Club, Ottawa County Job and Family Services and the Ottawa County Juvenile Court have formed the Ottawa County Business Advisory Council. Ottawa County Community Foundation receives $500,000 donation

The Special Initiatives Support Fund for Schools is a new designated fund established in 2014 through the Ottawa County Community Foundation (OCCF).  An Ottawa County businessman gave a bequest of $500,000 to create this fund in support of Woodmore Schools and all schools in Ottawa County.  The businessman’s interest was to identify students who are not necessarily motivated by normal/traditional academic courses which often lead to college.
